The end result was this stunning Aqua flake Predator, backed up with turquoise backing colour and flow coated in black.
Whether this runs the side pods or not it's going to turn heads on the road.
The initial brief was for a solid colour turquoise Sidewinder. Going for the classic look.

The choice was narrowed down to red or blue, Chameleon Laser Blue won, and boy did it win.
This Sidewinder was also supplied with one of our roofs, in white. The buggy maybe blue, but there were smiles all round.
We were contacted for a shell to replace a Ruska. This buggy is being built as a left hand drive so the dash had to work for that. Fortunately all our buggies work for both LHD and RHD builds.
Being a plumber a copper colour was in order, we sent through video samples of each of our copper flakes and a single colour bright copper came out on tops. Speaking of tops he also went for one of our textured hard tops in white. When turning up to collect his attention was grabbed by the buggy as soon as he turned the corner. The sun was out and the shell was outside, he didn't even notice us. Looking at the video, it's not really surprising.
Our custom was looking for a shell to replace the one on his Hustler, buggy, the Jazz is a perfect fit.
He was after a lime green that would stand out so we showed him the Chameleon Ultra Lime. This is the brightest colour in our range, but also shimmers with golds and blues in the sun. In his own words "absolutely stunning". See for yourselves. A message through the site, a phone call and a couple of emails, before this Cherry Red Sidewinder with its accompanying textured white roof was in manufacture. It was loaded up so quick, unfortunately we didn't get to video this one, but we did snap a couple of shots as it was on it's way home. We understand the build is going quick too.
Our customer wanted a richer orange than our standard metal flakes, so we reached out to some other suppliers to find something that was to their liking. The Golden Orange Flake has been laid down with a base of traffic orange.
Under the artificial lights the gold really shone through, but then when we opened the doors and let the natural light in the richness of the colour was amazing. The transformation the owner is going to see in different lighting conditions is something to behold. We can't wait for this to be out in the sunshine.
Back in November our customer picked up this Cherry Red flake long wheelbase FF buggy. Although this is only a single colour flake the colour is absolutely gorgeous with the deep glossy finish. The video was taken on an overcast day. Once the sun hits this, the pop is going to be fantastic.
The build of this buggy is well underway by VWorks and it will be at the Volksworld show, either on the Southern Dune Buggy Club stand or inside, watch out for it.
We made a trip to the Flat Four Hangout at Bruntingthorpe Airfield. What a lovely venue that offered us a great opportunity to take some video of our LWB FF Buggy demonstrator. The hardtop roof was on with its custom side windows and roof bars. If you are considering a roof we can supply this in either solid colour or flake. The choice is yours.
After collecting his Chameleon Red Short Wheelbase FF with Pearl Crystal Copper Side Pods (SWB FF in Chameleon Red), our customer asked if we could do a matching roof and here is the result.
Good luck with the build, it's going to be lovely.
Another FF collected today by a lucky customer. This time it is a Short Wheelbase with the shell in chameleon red flake and the side pods in a contrasting crystal pearl copper flake. Note the optional two-tone dashboard. Shame the sun wasn't out to real make it pop.
When they got home they had the following to say:
"That colour change in the sunshine is wonderful
"It was lovely to look in mirror it just looked so different when the sun was out the went behind a cloud and it came back out again even in the tunnel below the shopping centre with the tubes light looked good |
